this week, i slowly but surely made some things that i’ve been wanting to try just for fun.
i channeled my inner child and made some bookmarks pre-school style! had lots of fun shaving crayon bits onto the wax paper…positioning words & paper cut-outs…then ironing to melt crayons and seal everything in place. the bookmark below contains my word of the year, “thrive”, to remind me everyday while i’m writing in my journal.
i also made a new little journal out of scrap paper from my husbands office, a lasagna box & some pretty paper i’ve been saving. my dad brought me a cool (and scary) high speed hand drill. the thing freaks me out but it works perfectly! can’t wait to try it for some other projects…
and finally, i combined some old stockings & mittens to create a snow-proof solution for my little skiers & sleigh riders. after sewing i decorated with ye olde buttonhole stitch…
