i recently posted about the glory of the online radio station called ‘Pandora’. go to pandora.com and you can explore a vast trove of music just by typing in the name of your favorite artist. using data from the music genome project, it will quickly scan its entire world of analyzed music, new and old, to find songs with musical similarities to your choice.

so i’ve been listening to pandora.com and keeping a running list of music i love. last week while enjoying a *generous* quantity of libations at home, i decided to get out my list and and download some music from itunes. needless to say, alcohol impairs judgment and decreases inhibitions, and the next day i found myself guilty of SUI (shopping under the influence). however, i did end up with some fan-freakin-tastic new music. Too bad music can’t be a business expense for artists. Here’s a small selection of what I acquired:

*The Story* by *Brandi Carlile* album
*Brandi Carlile* on *Brandi Carlile* album
Breakable by Ingrid Michaelson
Brave by A Particularly Vicious Rumor
Roam by Lijie
I Am the Moon by Lynn Miles
Unravel by Lynn Miles
Central Reservation by Beth Orton
Feel to Believe by Beth Orton
Drunken Angel by Lucinda Williams
Lake Charles by Lucinda Williams
One Down (Live) by Ben Folds
Fast Forward by Lali Puna on Tricoder (electronica)
Ganesha Sharanam by Rasa (yoga music)
