we’re back from the vail film festival. Here are some pics. it was one of the best ski trips ever. the plane trip was a little longer than we had hoped for since somebody else booked the flights and had us transfer in TEXAS. but we arrived nevertheless in one piece. instead of taking a shuttle, my cousin Bert rented a car and drove us from Denver to Vail since he had also flown into Denver for a work trip near Vail. the first night we stayed at simba run where i lost my make-up, which is crucial to covering up my red face after a day of windburn & sunburn. i kept getting lost in the hotel though because of a weird building layout. the following nights we stayed at Vantage Point, part of Destination Resorts/Landmark Tower (i think). this was in Lionshead Village which was closer and we could take the Vail shuttle which ran very often. we could walk to the Eagle Bahn gondola in 5 minutes. kenny was kind enough to take me over a cliff on our first run of the trip. the snow was superb. i managed to see two films this year both of which were documentaries. i also got to know some of the new people that now work at the company i consult with. they’re all really smart & fun to be around. all in all, it was a really good time and i hope i can go next year. i’ll post pics soon.
